i've been wearing a lot of gold recently, but after seeing these rings on a few blogs i knew i had to get my mitts on them. they arrived yesterday, packaged in a little black box. I love the sleek look of the rings and how they can be stacked and worn in different ways to create different looks. anyone who's wanting to invest in these little gems however, beware; i bought them in M/L when i'd usually be a small in rings, and they are reaaaally small! some of them won't fit me except as midi rings, and i have skinny twigs for fingers. just a warning. but other than that, they're perfect!

black velvet

just a simple outfit, but i reaaaally wanted to show ya'll the barginous ebay find that was my black velvet jumper! perhaps a little autumn winter to wear at the moment, but i know that come september this jumper just won't leave my back. i love the way the black velvet looks against my levi jeans, and the lace detail at the bottom of the jumper means it'll look lovely layered up under a snuggly coat in the winter. i've always been more of a winter lover, and (unpopular opinion time) inside i can't wait for cold, dark nights and waking up to rooftops coated in crisp white frost. just me? okay.

i've been working pretty much none-stop this past few weeks to try and save some pennies, hence the lack of posting and general communication with the outside world. i sleep, eat and work, that's pretty much it. the lack of excitement and mundane routine is making me pretty much desperate to get back to uni in around three weeks time. i'm so so jealous of all the people i've seen tweeting about getting ready to start uni; i wanna be a fresher all over again! if you are one of these people, you're going to have the best year of your life, believe me.

amy loves; ladyblush cremeblend

mac doesn't tend to be a brand i run too when i need a new makeup product, but i do love their cremeblend blushes. my last one was 'brit wit', a beautiful colour which i reviewed a few months ago. after running out, i decided to try a new shade, and decided on ladyblush. i don't know how well the picture shows this, but although it's a red/pink toned coral colour (a shade i didn't think would work well with my skintone) it blends in beautifully to leave a subtle, but flattering colour on the cheeks.

i am a big fan of the texture of the cremeblend products too; blendable and pigmented - it almost has a translucency to it, also adding to the natural finish. oh, and it even lasts me through six hour shifts at work! so yeah, a lovely blush, i'd definitely recommend if you like the cremeblend forumla! i'm now going to go and demolish a steak before starting an eight hour shift - lovely.

I love love love the fit of my levi jeans, and so it's completely necessary that i have another pair of a similar fit in another colour, right? i've seen these on quite a few bloggers, and they just look amazing - a definite future investment i think. i've been after these docs for aaaages, infact, i'm sure they were on a wishlist post of mine last year, and i've just never got round to buying them - this year! the mohair style jumper would look cute tucked into the mom style jeans, would layer over dresses and i think i need it. like, now. 

oh, and need i say anything about this minkpink beaut. just look at it.

one of my favourite things about taking photographs is having them printed and plastering my room with them. a while ago i had a few of my instagram photos printed and i loved the outcome; ever since i've been keeping my beady eyes peeled for sites offering instagram prints, but also the ability to print those from your photostream. printicapp does just that! in four easy steps glossy, polariod look photos are delivered to your door (in the sweetest little orange envelope) and at something like 60p a print, it's also relitavely cheap. i'd definitely recommend getting your mitts on this app and giving it a go!

just when you thought you wouldn't see these boots again, or the shirt for that matter. i tend to buy something i love, wear it none stop for weeks and then never wear it again; please tell me i'm not alone! i just love the slouchy fit of the shirt, it sits beautifully over smock dresses and little tops when it's a little too chilly to flash the flesh. so, in my last post i mentioned the line of beauty kit i'd recieved from L'Oreal, and that i'd use each liner in a different outfit post? yes, i actually stuck to a plan. 

the super liner, perfect slim, was the liner i was most excited to try out. perfect for achieving a smooth and effortless look. I think this eyeliner is pretty similar to the smashbox liquid liner i tried out not so long ago, but without the rather hefty price tag! it's easy to control and the tip of the pen is pretty tiny, so you don't need to worry about messing it all up in one stroke. the colour, as you can see from the photos, is a proper deep black and i didn't notice any flaking or smudging throughout the day! a definite investment for liquid liner fanatics like me! oh, p.s my gorgeous friend helen has just set up a beauty blog, and it's already looking pretty lovely. c-c-check it out!

amy loves; l'oreal line of beauty

i was going to do a series of make-up looks in this post using each of the eyeliners/pencils featured in the kit, but then i thought it'd be a nice idea to combine the looks with outfits, like a nightout look and a daytime look? we shall see how that plan pans out, as you probably know i'm terrible at sticking to my little ideas. nevertheless, i thought i'd show you what an amazing little kit this is; featuring three types of eyeliner and an eyebrow pencil with brush and wax.

i tried the brow pencil and the 'perfect slim super liner' today, and i was quite surprised at how impressed i was with them! i used to LOVE the L'Oreal million lashes mascara and so my expectations weren't low, but i was still taken a-back with how lovely these products were. so yes, keep an eye out for these being used in future outfit posts where i'll review each item in a little more detail!
